Nightcall — Kavinsky

A dark sports car pauses above a city glowing beneath a violent magenta sky, its red tail lights burning across the rain-soaked road. The empty winding route leads down towards Los Angeles, creating the sense that a late-night journey has only just begun. 

This SongScape interpretation of Nightcall captures the track’s collision of cool control and hidden danger: cinematic, solitary and charged with the feeling of a message that changes everything. Palm silhouettes, wet asphalt and saturated neon give the scene the visual language of retro-futurist cinema, while the personalised number plate acts as the artwork’s restrained song identifier. A nocturnal tribute to distance, transformation and the strange intimacy of reaching someone through the darkness.
