The Night We Met — Lord Huron

Three windows hold three moments from the same roadside diner. At the bright end, a young couple lean towards one another on the night they first meet; the centre booth sits empty as warmth begins to drain from the room; at the far end, the man returns years later, older and alone, looking back towards the place where everything began.
This SongScape interpretation of The Night We Met turns memory into architecture: the diner never changes, but love, absence and regret move through it from amber light into cold blue shadow. Almost lost in the dark glass beside him, the faint suggestion of the woman faces him like a memory that has never completely left. A quiet artwork about longing for the moment before a relationship became something you could lose.
